Hi All,
I've been having a harder time now dealing with Cisco. I ordered Adventerprise license for my ASR router. Unfortunately, was sent license for Advipservices. I only found out when I installed what I thought was license for interface_10g, only to discover I was given license for the wrong feature (routing throughput instead of interface speed).
My question now is, can I upgrade the advipservices to adventerprise by changing the license boot level statement and reloading the router?
ASR1001(config)#license boot level ?
adventerprise Advanced Enterprise License Level
advipservices Advanced IP Services License Level
ipbase IP Base License Level
Thanks, AdoJay

do a sho license all, that will tell you.
The short answer is yes, you can. The caveat with it is, if the adventerprise license is shown as eval/right to use, then you only have a limited time that you can run it as adventerprise.
if it is showing as permanent, then all you should have to do is activate, accept the eula, and you'll be good.

Thanks for your quick response.
The output of show license is below;
ASR1001#sh license
Index 1 Feature: adventerprise
Period left: Life time
License Type: Permanent
License State: Active, Not in Use
License Count: Non-Counted
License Priority: Medium
Index 2 Feature: advipservices
Period left: 5 weeks 4 days
Period Used: 2 weeks 6 days
License Type: EvalRightToUse
License State: Active, In Use
License Count: Non-Counted
License Priority: Low
The license feature and type are adventerprise and permanent respectively. As I have the adventerprise license already installed, is it simply a case of changing the license boot level statement on the router and reloading?
Thanks
AdoJay

Hi,
I changed the boot level configuration command, saved, and reloaded. Don't forget to transfer the license file to the device first.
