There are these two switches.
1. When connected using the downlink port, the link comes up normally.
ex) c1000fe24T(fa1/0/1) ↔ C1000fe48T (fa1/0/1)

2. However, if you connect using an uplink port, the link does not come up.
ex) c1000fe24T(gi1/0/1) ↔ C1000fe48T (gi1/0/1)

In both cases, the same UTP cable was used, and the interface setting is the trunk setting only.

The question is, I wonder what setting should be made for UTP cable when using combo port.
For example, [media-type Rj-45] Do you need a command like this to connect..

    - Check logs on the involved switches when the connection is attempted
+ Normally , the combo port will detect the media connected automatically , look
at the LED status on the port to see if the intended media (connection)
                                 has been detected successfully

+ You may also check the output of  : show hardware led port duplex
