Hi
I have a Cisco Catalyst 4510 R-E that requires a password recovery how do I go about removing the password
I have the following cards installed
2 x WS-X45-SUP6-E Supervisor engine 6-E
1x WS-X4624-SFP-E
1x WS-X4648-RJ45V-E

Hi
Followed the information given on the above link, I'm still getting not able to access the switch I'm still prompted for the password under the companies banner, I have the two supervisor engines attached to the unit and my cisco console cable is connected to the top one,

I've resolved the issue by removing the redundant supervisory engine then erasing the main supervisory engine and vice versa. unit is now factory default.

The procedure here doesn't work for the supervisor engine WS-X45-Sup6-E because the confreg 0x2142 command isn't recognized, for me anyway. I will try what Paul tried here and see if that works.
