Hi! I'm having a problem in my laboratory assignment because I'm not sure if DHCP will work if there's no switch. Only the router and the PCs

Hello

The router should have at least one port you'd be able attach a pc to and providing it is enabled for dhcp then you should be good to go..

What type of router is it.?

The original post talks about PCs (plural). Paul is on the right track to ask how the PCs will be connected without a switch. In my experience without a switch you can connect a single PC to a single interface. If there are multiple Pcs, each connected to a different router interface, if each router interface is configured for DHCP then each PC should successfully obtain an IP address using DHCP. If there is some other type of connection then the original poster needs to clarify what it is.
