If I wanted to install a NIM-4MFT-T1/E1 module on a Cisco ISR4331/K9 do I need the SM-X-NIM-ADPTR in order to do it?

Dear sir,
Sub: How many NIM modules can populate in one SM slot using SM-X-NIM-ADPTR
Hardware Planning: one ISR 4331 router , and total 4 No's of NIM based Modules.
ON Board NIM slots-2 No's are populated with Two no's of NIM modules, The remaining two NIM modules are planning to populate in SM slot using SM-X-NIM-ADPTR. is it works, please clarify.
Actually image of SM-X-NIM-ADPTR looks like having two Nim slots, so I feel it supports for two nim modules. but I am not get proper evidence for that. please help me in this regard and do the needful.
Regards
Ramana
