Hi, i have a cisco 1801 wich is crashing whenever my ISP drops the connection(he does this every 36 hours to change ip address), and i cant figure out why.
Im running "Cisco IOS Software, C180X Software (C180X-ADVIPSERVICESK9-M), Version 12.4(6)T6, RELEASE SOFTWARE (fc2)" and my connection is dsl2+ with pppoe authentication.
Cheers

I'd suggest getting off the T train for starters.

Which part of the world are you in?
The 'T' strain is often the best for DSL in my experience. ADSL2+ is proving problematic in UK

US. T train was for testing only. It tended to have suprises on new features. We would use N-1 versions

Well, about this, im still running the firmware with the T train. Last time line went down router haven't crashed, what i've done was, erase the configuration, and reload it, so far so good.

Do a show version. About halfway down the output you should see why the router reloaded. You can either 1) open a case with tac and give that output or 2) go to the cisco output interpreter and input the show ver yourself.
Hope that helps.
