Cisco router Ipsec tunnel to Juniper SRX routing issue

I have a tunnel setup between a cisco router and a Juniper SRX.   The tunnel actually up but I can't route over it.

The route is setup to go to the next hop for the gateway 

192.168.16.0 255.255.255.0 Public IP of the gateway

I am also seeing hits on that subnet but I can't ping across

What do you see when running show crypto ipsec sa ?

Do you see any encrypt and decrypt hits?
