Cisco Routers Requirements for IPVPN

Connections: IPVPN

1 Head office :  1 Main router.

60 Branch stations: 60 routers.

Data:  Video from the branches will be sent to the Main Office(streaming)

The estimated speed of IPVPN Connections at the Head Office is 90Mbps and at the Branch is 2Mbps but there is a possibility that the speed will increase in a future.Is Cisco 1921 is enough for Branch stations? Or should I go to 1921? What cisco router model can cater the estimated 90mbps IPVPN WAN Speed?

Can the 2900 series can support the 90mbps or we will go for 3900 series?

Head office:  3925E or 3945.  If you have money, 3945E or even go with 4451-X or an ASR1K.  

Branch:  For 2 Mbps, 1921 is very good future-proofing investment.  

Another important thing;  Make sure you load the head office router up-to-your-eyeballs in DRAM.  Don't skimp on the DRAM!

The attachment provides both Cisco's bandwidth support recommendations for most ISRs and their tested peformance under different usage situations.

For 90 Mbps, the 3925 should be about right.  For 2 Mbps, the 800 series should do.  However, depending on projected growth, vs. expected device life cycle, you might, as Leo suggests, buy larger.  How much larger depends on your expected growth in bandwidth usage.
