Hello Everyone,
My customer ordered an access circuit for their MPLS service but the local telco delivered the circuit as fiber and they are out of stock for a media converter (it will take them 2 months or so to get one!) that would have allowed them to hand us the connection as an ethernet connection.
The router they have is 1941 which only supports ethernet, are there any routers or interfaces that can support having the fiber directly connected?
Thank you very much

Check link : Models Comparison
Additionally, if there is switch in the same Rack/Room that support SFPs (and have one free SFP port) you can use it as media converter.

Thanks CRNI!
i will see if we can get a 2921 or go the switch route.

You didn't mention your WAN bandwidth. Remember "WAN" ISRs often don't have the capacity to support LAN bandwidths, so size an ISR carefully. For example, Cisco only recommends the 2921 for up to 50 Mbps although that's a conservative recommendation.
