Is there any way for the physical switch to trip like a breaker and shut the power down to this device?  To my knowledge you can physically flip the switch from on to off or remotely power it down correct?

Hello,

on a side note, Cisco indeed does not have an IOS command to power off or shutdown their devices. Juniper does:

request system poweroff --> stops the CPU but also sends an ACPI hardware signal which instructs the system to commence with a complete and immediate shutdown. This is roughly equivalent to pressing the power button on a typical desktop computer.

For Cisco, if you really need it, you would have to get a remote controlled power switch (such as the one depicted in the link below):

Hello
You’ll need a PDU power management switch for this - which would provide remote power cycle/shutdown/restart of your network devices, I uesd them before and they are extremely useful.
