Cisco WS-C3750G-12S-E IOS version

Hi

I have a couple of Cisco WS-C3750G-12S-E, I`m putting to use again.

These will be doing routing (IPv4 and IPv6), VLANs, VRF etc etc.

In Cisco Feature Navigator I find that the newest IOS for this model is 15.0(1)SE and 12.2(58)SE.

But my supplyer says c3750-ipserviceslmk9-tar.122-55.SE3.tar is the latest...

What is the most feature rich, best, stable image I can load on this unit

Your supplier is correct. From the 12.2(58)SE release notes -

Cisco IOS Release 12.2(58)SE1 runs on Catalyst 3750, 3560, 2960-S, and 2960 switches and on Cisco EtherSwitch service modules. Not all Catalyst 3750 and 3560 switches can run this release. The models listed below are not supported in Cisco IOS Release 12.2(58)SE1 and later. For ongoing maintenance rebuilds for these models, use Cisco IOS Release 12.2(55)SE and later (SE1, SE2, and so on).

so you cannot run anything later than 12.2(55) on your switch model.

The reason why you can't run IOS higher than 12.2(55)SE is because the 3750G-12S only has a 16mb flash.  12.2(58)SE and higher (including 15.X) requires higher flash requirement.

Due to the release of the WS-C3750X-12S and the WS-C3750X-24S, expect the End-of-Sale announcement of the venerable 3750G-12S in the next 6 to 8 months from now.
