cisco WS-C4507R proxy arp

Hi all,

we have a 4507R switch,

Cisco IOS Software, Catalyst 4500 L3 Switch Software (cat4500-ENTSERVICESK9-M), Version 12.2(25)SG4, RELEASE SOFTWARE (fc1)

and we can´t desable proxy arp. we alread tryed the command  (no ip proxy-arp) (no ip local-proxy-arp) on the interface, and we have the response:

% Unrecognized command

Could you help us please

Is your switch configured for routing?  If not, proxy arp doesn't work.  Check for the "ip routing" command in show running-config output.

Hi Mauro,

This command only works on L3 interfaces.

• SVI interfaces (VLAN interfaces)
• L3 physical interfaces (with no switchport commands)

Make sure you are disabling on the L3 interface of the network where you wish to disable proxy-arp

This IOS version for the 4500 does not have a command for this.

I checked 15 and it does not have also.
