classfull and classless

I need to know the difference between classful and classless and examples of both

Classful only sends the network, not the the subnet mask (ie 4.0.0.0).

Classless does send the subnet mask along with the network ( ie 5.5.5.0 255.255.255.0)

As otherwise noted, the dfference is that a classless routing protocol carries the mask in the advert. one of the clearest comparisons is RIP V1 is classfull, RIP V2 is classless.
