Color marking in metro Ethernet

this question is in reference to Metro Ethernet Network, which says that traffic comply to bandwidth profile SLA, the frame is marked with green/yello/red. my question is that is it the frame CoS value set inside the provider network that corresponds to the color of the traffic ?

I think a customer is supposed to set CoS(Class of Service) vlaues in the frame, and the CoS markings are forwarded to the provider.
