command to prefer a particular neighbor routes in OSPF ( Broadcast network )

     In our Setup we have Three Routers. Router R1 and Router R2 , advertising the route 5.5.5.5 to Router R3. My requirement is to prefer R1 as the Best path from R3, during the failure of R1 , the traffic should automatically point to R2.

     I have insisted Cost but it is not reflecting.

Hi,

why don't you configure a / 24 on both originating routers and on the one you want to be not preferred then just configure

ip ospf network point-to-point, this way it will be advertsied as a /24 and the other will still continue to advertise a /32 and R3 will prefer the longest match and if it fails it will take the /24 to go there.
