Console Login

HI,

I took console for 1760Router after booting the router.it's asking system configuration dialog then i gaiven nobut it's not accepting that even yes also

what could be the probelm and what are the points i want to check

are you saying you are trying to console in, but cannot get in as you don't know the password, or are you trying to assign a password to the console?

your next steps are as below:

Router> enable

Router#

Router# show startup-config

Router# copy startup-config running-config

Router# configure terminal

Router(config)# enable secret

Router# config-register 0x2102

Router(config)# Ctrl-Z

Router# copy running-config startup-config

Reboot the router, and enter the enable secret password.
