Creating Loopback Address

We currently have an NXOS spine/leaf deployment, with the core switch's doing the L3 routing via OSPF and the spines connected via L2 trunks. I would like to create loopback addresses on all the L2 switches to see how Dashboards Insights product works. Obviously loopbacks requires L3.

What would be the best recommended approach to do this? I guess I could configure another area so all the switches in this environment can communicate on that specific subnet? Also, if I enable OSPF on the noew L2 switches will this effect the current configuration (the trunks going from the leaf to cores).

Thanks
