I have a customer the runs DECnet. Is there a way to encapsulate DECnet over IP so that it will run over their MPLS network as well as their VPN backup network?

DECnet can be encapsulated in IP using a GRE tunnel between the two routers needing DECnet connectivity.
This only requires to configure DECnet on the tunnel interface.
