I have configured a DHCP Server on a 3560G series switch.
All the ports on the switch are configured as "trusted".
The DHCP Server is ignoring DHCP Discover messages with zero "giaddr" and option 82.
The following debug commands are configured
"debug dhcp detail" and "debug ip dhcp server packet"
But, when the server receives the Discover message, I do not see any debug messages.
The wireshark capture of the Discover message is attached as "Ignored_Discover.txt". Please change the file extension from .txt to .pcap
I have the following questions -
- Is there a command to see the dropped/ignored DHCP Discover message count?
- Why is DHCP Server ignoring the DHCP Discover message?
I have another device which also send DHCP Discover messages with zero "giaddr" and option 82.
DHCP Server responds to this particular message.
The wireshark capture of the Discover message is attached as "Working_Discover.txt". Please change the file extension from .txt to .pcap
I have attached my switch config as "sh_run.txt"
Thanks for your time.
