DID phone number assignments on Channelized DS3

Are DID phone numbers associated to the entire DS3 as one circuit, or can they be assigned at the DS1 level? Either way, how is this accomplished?

Only at DS1 level, or can span multiple circuits in the same DS3 level.

How are DID's mapped to individual DS1's on a Channelized DS3?

This depends by the telco that owns the DS1 circuits. The DS1 are individual trunks inside the DS3 that is only a transport medium and has no relevance on the numbering plan. SO the DS1 cna be in truck, independent, use different signaling, or whatever and there is no fixed rule.
