Hello,
I’m having difficulty to understand the different between loopback local line and loopback local payload?
What is the different between these two? Is there any different when troubleshooting using either of these two?
Router(config)#controller e1 1/5
Router(config-controller)#loopback ?
diag Local diagnostic loopback
local Local loopback [line | payload]
Appreciate and thanks in advance for any help
Regards,

Line loopback transmits the received bitstream as it is.
Payload generates framing as interface normally does, and only retransmits the data portion in T1/E1.
