i am always wondering how the DR is been setup for the HO employees and for Branch users, i will appreciate a lot for the person who has build a DR and and have done the drill for the same,
lets assume the below.
- i have a collapsed core setup all the Access layer and connected to the Core switch
- All users vlan and server vlan Default Gateway is on the DC firewall
- Perimeter firewall and Data Center firewall are connected back to back. from Perimeter firewall i have an MPLS link for my branches and another link to the internet
- I have virtual environment for my Servers with SAN storage attached as an LUN to the servers.
- Also a storage to storage replica is been done from HO to DR
So lets assume a failure for the servers hardware and shutdown of the storage and all the servers have been moved to the DR server hardware and also the storage is available at DR. they will move with the same IP address so how things will be accessible to the HO users and branches users,
Can anybody clarify the concept here.
