We have an old router that did encapsulation DLSW for an application that used to use SNA server.

Sh dlsw peers shows that the tunnel is up but i don't want if it's still use.

I would like to remove this router but wants to be sure that nobody in my company still use this old application.

Thanks for your help

Hello Hatim,

to understand if it is really used use:

Actually, if this show is empty it is not in use.

Hope to help

Dear all, any idea on this question?

Hello Hatim,

the ouput of sh dlsw mac reachability can be influenced by messages sent by the remote router that could be configured to advertise reachability of one or more MAC addresses in order to reduce the explorer traffic on the WAN.

If it is possible for you I would access the remote router and give a look at dlsw configuration to see if there's any icanreach command that could appear in the output of the local router.

As we both agreed on previuos post if there is real activity the sh dlsw circ shouldn't be empty.

If you cannot access the remote router ask to its network administrator.

Hope to help

Giuseppe

Thanks a lot. I will contact this network admin.
