Do you think it is same meaning command no auto-summary between BGP and EIGRP

Hi, Usually we need to disable auto-summary in eigrp, but sometimes we also need to disable it in BGP. Do you think it is the same meaning?

Hi,

The automatic summary in EIGRP and in BGP has the same basic meaning - to coalesce advertised subnetworks into their classful parents if possible. In BGP, the automatic summary has been off by default for a very long time - since IOS version 12.2(8)T.
