Duplicate Address Detection aka DAD

I have been searching around and known that the basic operation of DAD, but I can't find information about the processing of Neighbor Solitciation when received, which regards to whether the packet is forwarded out or just local processed.

With that being said, the destination address of NS is a multicast one and so it should be forwarded out, but what I have found are all simple examples regarding just two directly connected devices.

I wanna know how NS is spread out and the associated mechanism or a clarified description of this.

Thanks in advance.

I have found out that FF02 prefix is only link local, if so, the DAD is too limited, partitioned link could break this.

Am I right?

Duplicate IP Address is detect by ARP' if new host get IP it send arp and if any other host replied then there is duplicate IP.
