Hi,

We have customer who has own subnet and AS number. Now customer want to have eBGP connection with us and want to announce the sunnet on their own.And we will be transit for this cutomer

Just wondering if I need to talk to my upstream provider to do this or it will be automatic.Please suggest me.

Hi,

As long as you have an agreement with your upstream provider to accept prefixes coming from your AS it should be fine.

It would be wise to talk with your upstream provider as they probably have filters in place that may prevent new AS and routes from propagating.
