EIGRP UNEQUAL COST LOAD BALANCING PROBLEM

Hi all,

I have a problem with doing unequal cost load balancing on a 6513 outbound to two different 7200s.

The sitiuation is this,

6513(core)---7204--2t-1s---vegas

same 6513---7206--1T-1---vegas

on the 6513 I want a load share of 2 to go to the 7204 to properly load balance outbound traffic to vegas and a load share of 1 to go to the 7206.

I have tried adding to the composite metric via a offset list on the 6513's interface to the 7206.

the calculation i used was the cm of the 7204*1.75-the cm of the 7206. and then adding that amount to the cm of the 7206 to be more the 1.5 but less that 2 (because we use a variance of 2 on the 6513) of the 7204. This changes the advertise distance of the 7206 as well to make it non-useable. so after applying the offset list the 6500 will only go to the 7204 for traffic. I have been working with 3 TAC engineers and 2 cisco SE's but we can't figure out the way to accomplish this. I am hoping a EIGRP expert could shed some light on the best way to accomplish this, because we have another site tht needs this configuration to be done as well.

Thanks in advance,

Chad

I would have thought that a variance of 2 configured on the 6513 would have accomplished the load sharing that you want.

Please post some additional information to help us analyze the problem. I would be particulary interested in seeing the configuration of EIGRP on all three routers along with the interface configuration. I would also like to see the output of show ip route and show ip eigrp topology from the three routers.
