What that active state means is the rtr has lost its best path to that particular prefix (successor) and it has no backup path computed( feasible successor) so the rtr has put that prefix into an active state (Stuck in Active -SIA) and sent out a query to its other eigrp neighbours to verify if they have a known path this prefix, they themselves will do the same query until a response is known and shared between the other eigrp routers.
The default hold timeout value for this is 180 seconds and if no response is received for its own sia-query in that hold period the rtr should then tear down its eigrp adjacency to that neighbour, You could actually disable SIA under the eigrp routing process but I would suggest you look for the problematic rtr/link instead.
sh ip eigrp neighbour
sh ip eigrp topology active
The above two commands are good to to run on each rtr and check for high RTO values and any Q counts higher than 0 this should signify an issue with that particular rtr.
