I purchased a RV340 Dual WAN Gigabit VPN Router
for which I was told that a WAN was also possible from 3G / 4G Modem.
The WAN1 and WAN2 part works perfectly both as a backup WAN and as a balancer
My problem is this I have a Huawei E3531i-2 with a 4g connection, which works perfectly, because if I put it on a PC, it does all that it has to do:
- it turns on
- Flashes green
- Become Blue fixed and I have the connection
If I go to put this device in one of the two USB ports (USB1 or USB2) of the RV340 Router, there is no way to make it work ...
I explain:
If I enter the device:
- the corresponding USB LED turns solid green
But the LED of the Huawei E3531i-2 continues to flash green instead of becoming blue ...
I tried to see on System Status-> Port Status and I realized that the USB port corresponding to where I attached the Huawei E3531i-2 is presented to me as Storage ...
Some generous soul that can give me some indication on how I can do to show it correctly or give me some suggestions on how to make the configuration.

Buon giorno community,
ho acquistato un RV340 Dual WAN Gigabit VPN Router
per il quale mi è stato detto che era possibile una WAN anche da Modem 3G/4G.
La parte WAN1 e WAN2 funziona perfettamente sia come WAN backup che come balancer
Il mio problema è questo ho un Huawei E3531i-2 con connessione 4g, che funziona perfettamente, in quanto se lo inserico su un PC, fa tutto quello che deve fare cio'è:
- si accende
- Lampeggia verde
- Diventa Blu fisso e ho la connessione
Se vado ad inserire questo dispositivo in una delle due porte USB (USB1 o USB2) del Router RV340, non c'è verso di farlo funzionare...
Mi spiego:
Se inserisco il dispositivo:
- il led USB corrispondente diventa verde fisso
Ma il led del Huawei E3531i-2 continua a lampeggiare verde invece che divenare blu...
Ho provato a vedere su System Status->Port Status e mi sono accorto che la porta USB corrispondente a dove ho attaccato il Huawei E3531i-2 mi viene presentato come Storage...
Qualche anima generosa che riesca a darmi qualche indicazione su come accidenti posso fare per fargliela vedere correttamente o darmi qualche suggerimento su come effettuare la configurazione.
