Errors Counter odd behaviour

We have CISCO7604 running IOS Version 12.2(33)SRB1.

The "show interface Giga2/1" command output shows an

incrementing number of frame errors but 0 input errors.

I know that input errors counter includes runts, giants,

no buffer, CRC, frame, overrun, and ignored counts.

So I do not understand the following "show interface" output:

0 input errors, 0 CRC, 235303 frame, 0 overrun, 0 ignored

Any idea ? May be a cosmetic error ?

Sometime the counter work at diffeent elvels, fo example a frame error is L1, while an input error like CRC, is L2. So these are to all effects, separate counters.
