Hi,

We are using CISCO 2800 series router and cisco 3560 Catalyst Switch for WAN connectivity in a private network.

1. CISCO 2800 router is connected with WAN

2. And Switch is connected after router for LAN connectivity.

From router we are  able to ping all private IP's of other networks  ,but from switch its creates problem .Sometime we are bale to ping all private IP's  from switch and sometime switch misbehaves and not able to ping IP's from switch.

In this we configured  two vlan one is default and other is VLAN 10.

Regards

Ravi

To restate your issue

You are able to reach your hosts in VLAN1 and VLAN10 from your router but not from your switch.

To solve your issue we would need some more information.

1. Does the switch do Inter-VLAN routing or is it layer 2 only (if yes, is a default gateway configured?)

2. What are you trying to ping? Do you try to reach the same hosts at the same time or ping at random?

3. Are you able to reach the switch from the host you cannot ping?
