I am trying to find throughput of inbuild fastethernet ports on 2811 router. All I can find about is throughput for WAN connections (T1/E1) . Anyone has any insight on throughput capacity for following setup.
Source-->>(FA0/0)2811 Router (Fa0/1)----> Destination
Please point me to right direction.
Thanks,
Gurvinder

Miercom saw about 130Mbps:

Thats ideal situation. It routes a lot less (under 100mbit if I recall) if the traffic distribution involves a lot of small packets.
So the answer is "It depends on the traffic distribution, but it'll be less than 100mbit."

Gurvinder,
2811 with this setup will give a throughput of 61.44Mbps With 64byte packet size.
HTH,Please rate if it does.

Hiya,
Is this documented anywhere on the website? I'd love to see a list of ISR router throughput based on packetsize.

What about from HWIC-4ESW to the onboard FE ports? I've heard that you only get roughly 5mpbs. Any truth to that?
