Filtering oder blocking a flapping MAC Address ???

Hello,

maybe this question sounds a little stupid, but is there a possibility to apply a filter to suppress a flapping MAC address?

We have a network scenario, where we receive packets at the remote end of a redundant connection twice, on two different ports, that are connected to the same VLAN. This has to do with a broadcast audio scenario, where an audio signal is running parallel with a small ethernet data channel on a multiplexed E1 line. The connection works only unidirectional with UDP data, that carry additional information for the audio line signal. The redundancy mechanism is actually strange for data networks, because the E1 signal is splitted to two multiplexer on the remote site, where audio and data exits.

Anyway, on the remote site, we see each packet twice, and therefore the switches are logging excessively flapping MAC addresses.

My question is, if there is a possibility, to simply block “that specific MAC address" on one port, as long as it is seen on the other port?

The switches are mostly 2960 with LANBASE IOS.

Many thanks in advance.

Hakan
