Frame-Relay DLCI and Bandwidth

I have two questions regarding Frame-Relay configurations, Point-To-Point.

1. The carrier supplies the DLCI's as follows:

Router A DLCI 100

Router Z DLCI 200

The sub-interface on Router A will be DLCI 200

The sub-interface on Router Z will be DLCI 100

Is this correct?

2. The BW parameter on the sub-interface has no bearing on the circuit. It's there for informational purposes only.

Is this correct?

Thanks

Pete,

Question 1: if the carrier supplies DLCI 100 for the connection on router A then the subinterface configuration must specify DLCI 100 not 200.

The DLCI specified on the subinterface is how the carrier talks to the router not how the router talks to the remote end.

Question 2: correct the bandwidth configured on the subinterface does not change anything about the physical circuit. It is there to describe the capacity of the subinterface to any softwawre that cares (calculation of metrics for EIGRP and OSPF, calculation of load, etc).
