frame-relay mulitpoint configuration

hi all,

i am new to frame-relay, if i have a testing network like:

R1(s0) -- (s0)R2(s2) -- (s0) R3

|

(s0)

R4

* R4 is connected to R2. seems there is alignment problem

i would like to ask how can i configure all 4 routers (R2 is working as frame relay switch) so that R1, R3 and R4 can be communicated.

PS. Is it possible to configure all R1, R3 and R4 be point-to-multipoint?

thanks!

rgds,

kennethl

If R2 is acting as a frame-relay switch, then it doesn't really enter into the topology on the same way as the other routers - is it merely a network. If you wanted, you could have a full mesh; that is, create PVCs R1<->R3, R1<->R4, R3<->R4. And, yes, you could configuure each of those routers as a point-to-multipoint. Alternatively, you could create two point-to-point subinterfaces on each of the routers R1, R3, R4, one subinterface for each PVC.

Here are some useful documents to read, and a couple of pointers to source other goodstuff:
