i have one router cisco 3925 with two serials Hwic 2T..these two interface are configured for load sharing
i have now one interface is up up on the physical and also the sub interface is also up up and working properly
but the other interface is up down for the physical and down down for the subinterface. and it is not working.
please check these shows outputs.

Hello Ahmed,
A couple of suggestions.
First, remove the frame-relay lmi-type ansi command from your interfaces Serial0/1/0 and Serial0/1/1. Setting the LMI type statically is not necessary since the IOS 11.2, and may in fact cause trouble if the LMI type on the Frame Relay switch is different. It is best to leave the IOS to detect the LMI type automatically, therefore, I strongly recommend removing this command until you know precisely that the connection will not work without it. After removing this command, shutdown and reactivate the physical interface (take care - this will disrupt connectivity for a moment).
Second, the show interfaces s0/1/1 has revealed that this interface received an inordinate number of invalid frames:
3156869 runts, 0 giants, 0 throttles
3162252 input errors, 5138 CRC, 0 frame, 0 overrun, 0 ignored, 245 abort
This are several possible causes for this - wrong cabling, bad or improperly seated connectors, wrong encapsulation (are you really connected to a Frame Relay circuit via the S0/0/1 interface?), problems with the modem, noise at the leased line, etc. Can you check this?
As a small experiment, if you swap the cables between interface S0/1/0 and S0/1/1, do the interfaces come up? The addressing will be incorrect but right now I am more interested simply in the physical and data link layer functionality.
What is interesting is that in your current output, the S0/1/1 is up/up. Perhaps it is going up and down in cycles.
Best regards,
Peter

i changed the modem and interface s 0/1/1 is up up as you see in the last post.
but i have a lot of packet loss on this interface about 30% packet loss on this interface.
i think the configuration is ok.
the lmi type and the frame relay type ...were provided to me by the ISP.
so what was the problem
11-13-2010 11:50 PM
Ahmed,
I do not have any direct answer about what is causing your problem. I have pointed out in my last reply that the error count on your S0/1/1 interface is very, very high, and in my opinion, this requires urgent attention. I have also pointed out possible causes of input errors - it is up to you to thoroughly verify each and every of them, and watch the interface continuously whether the input errors increase. In general, those input errors are caused by Layer1 or Layer2 issues and they may probably account for your current packet loss as well.
About the FR settings your ISP gave you - okay, he may have given you these values but I tend in this case to leave the automatic detection activated, just in case. But if both interfaces currently appear to be able to transport frames, you may leave the settings unchanged.
Please keep me informed.
Best regards,
Peter
