I've been trying to find the answer to the question about using VIRL images within GNS3 legitimately but I can't peg it down.
I work in a training environment where the network doesn't connect to the internet. With that, it's my understanding that VIRL is out as it requires this connection. GNS3 with VIRL images seems to be a workable solution if it's legit. Are VIRL images allowed to be used in GNS3 assuming an account is purchased for each user? Loking for a definitive answer.

Hello,
it used to be that with a VIRL PE subscription, you would get access to the IOSv files for download, but it seems to have changed, and now you need a support contract. There is no licensing for GNS3, if you have a legitimate VIRL account and Cisco support contract for each of your users, you can use the images in GNS3...
