Hi,
is it possible to run GOLD test on supervisor engine which is in ROMMON mode?
A supervisor 720 3BXL got stuck in rommon and I want to check if it has some hardware problems.
So I want to put it in some 6500/7600 chassis with already working sup 720 and run GOLD test on that problematic supervisor.
But when I do so I get this message on console:
Router#diagnostic start module 6 test
% No diagnostic test is available for Module 6
Router#sh module

I would recommend that you console into the Supervisor card in slot 6 and reboot/reseat the card. Post the entire bootup process as this may provide you with some clue.
Oh freak me! This is a DUPLICATE POST!

Hi,
it's not a duplicate post :-)
This one is only in regard to GOLD test on supervisor that is in ROMMON mode.
I'm interested in this generaly because I have few different supervisors stucked in rommon mode for different reasons,
and I'm trying to find mechanism to diagnose if that is a hardware failure.
But it seems (I'm not sure yet ) that GOLD doesn't work on supervisors in ROMMON.
I attached the bootup process in the other post :-)
Thanks,
A.
