GRE Tunnel Public IP pingable but Tunnel Down

Hi. My Working GRE Tunnels went down, and now they wont come up .

I can PING Public IP of GRE tunnel Fine. That is WAN End IP address of each router.

But Tunnel is showing down hence cant ping tunnel private IP.

it was working just fine before.

any idea what happened? or how to resolve this??

Hi,
If you are using a dynamic protocol like EIGRP it is possible that a loop formed and that is why the tunnel is down. Did you try to passive the gre interfaces ? It is a quite well documented issue if that is the case.
