Hello everyone,
On a Single Mode Fiber handoff from the ISP with an SC connector can anyone confirm the part(s) needed to terminate this connection on a 2811 router?
Thanks in advance! All replies rated.

Hello Angel,
you will need a GE HWIC and the appropriate SFP
http://www.cisco.com/en/US/prod/collateral/routers/ps5854/product_data_sheet0900aecd8016be8d.html
1 HWIC-1GE-SFP
1 SFP GLC-LH-SM=
2 SM fibers with LC and SC connectors of course SFP is too small to have SC connectors.
Note: The HWIC provides Gigabit Ethernet connectivity but will not support line rate since the throughput is limited by the platforms.
you cannot expect to handle high speed on it
see router performance in attachment
you will need also an appropriate IOS image
12.3(8)T4 | IP Base |
or better
Hope to help

Would you be able to use
EHWIC-1GE-SFP-CU
GLC-LH-LC
