dear all,
i have 2 1841 routers and 2 WIC-1T cards.initially i applied for a point to point leased line but provider said they cannot provide a leased line and finally they provided HDSL line, from the isp side they came and installed SHDSL BNC connector modem on both locations.
they came with a special type of cable BNC to V.35, (they put some converter and made it.)
but my configuration is like
in both sides i configured serial ip address and fast ethernet ip address and static routes. bcoz my wan card is WIC-1T.but line is down,on both side modems i can see green light means till the CPE device connection is fine.
in this case i need a SHDSL card ? SHDSL con fig is required?
pls help.
all the posts will be appreciated.
Regards
Binoy.

I have been seeing more of these lately not sure if that is a good or bad thing.
If they gave you v.35 then it is a simple high speed serial. You need to just look at the converter box as a CSU/DSU. This would be the same as if they were using a point to point microwave it all looks the same to the router.
The key here is to verify that they are really giving you v.35.
Depending on the provider you may be able to remove their converter boxes and use the proper dsl interfaces in the router but I would try to get what they have provided working first. If the line is good then something is set wrong in their converter box.

hi tdrais
thanks for your reply.if i give sh ip int brief
i can see that both line and protocol is up but there is no traffic flow.
as i told u before my config is i had put ip addresses for serial and fast ethernet interfaces.and routing is static routing.
the modem which they have placed is SHDSL, its written on the modem. so any shdsl configuration is required.or will the same as i told u above is ok.
pls reply.
