Hello all,
Does anyone know of any module that can terminate an HDSL connection? According to the FAQs for the G.SHDL this card cannot terminate standard HDSL.
Q. Do the G.SHDSL HWICs support symmetric DSL (SDSL) or high-data-rate DSL 2 (HDSL2)?
A. No. Only G.SHDSL signaling is supported. However, note that in Europe SHDSL is often termed SDSL because proprietary SDSL never gained popularity in Europe.
This was taken from http://www.cisco.com/en/US/products/ps5949/products_qanda_item0900aecd80591ff1.shtml.
Am I reading that right?
I want to eliminate 2 external devices that are terminating HDSL over a twisted pair and have them go directly into a Cisco router. Currently there is a 3660 on one side and a 2600 on the other side of the connection. Router upgrades are a possibility if there are WIC cards that only work with newer routers.
