I have a Cisco 3725 Router. I am having a problem accessing the Serial connection just as the title says. I have connected to it in the past just fine but suddenly I cannot do anything. At
Any help is greatly appreciated.

Are you using the correct COM port? Example, you could verify the COM port through device manager.

Yes, I am doing it through Linux with Screen so anything Windows in nonapplicable.

Hi,
I dont think the problem is related to speed, but you could try to change the terminal speed, the default is 9600.
Also you could verify if the console cable is working connecting it to other device in order to discard any problem with the console cable or adapter.

Speed is set to 9600. Cable is working fine on my Cisco Catalyst Switch.

I'll check on that. How do I SSH without knowing It's IP? The router is in a remote location in my house and the only way I access it is by SSHing into another machine with a console port and then from there starting a Serial Session with the router.
