on our 1711 I just monitored the CPU load and it was 50-85%
we want to add qos but with that CPU load it will crash
are there any help for this?

see what is causing the high cpu load, post a 'sh proc' output.
It is possible that you are process switching all of your packets (not using CEF) which could be causing the high load.
Otherwise upgrading to a newer router such as the 1841 or 2811.

we are going to upgrade to a 1811
I just want to ensure an efficient config so we aren't wasting CPU.
