HI;

I want to configure the glbp on two routers to load balancing on WAN link, We have 100 mb link, each terminated on cisco 2951 with ethernet o/p from service providers Mux. Since ethernet will be always up how glbp will learn the wan link is down & forward the traffic to another router...

Need configuration guidance.....

Hello Nilesh,

in these cases you can use reliable static routing with object tracking and you can use IP SLA. The same idea can be used to modify GLBP weighting

see

http://www.cisco.com/en/US/docs/ios/12_3/12_3x/12_3xe/feature/guide/dbackupx.html

and object tracking with GLBP you can reduce weighting if the IP SLA test fails.

http://www.cisco.com/en/US/docs/ios/ipapp/configuration/guide/ipapp_glbp_ps6441_TSD_Products_Configuration_Guide_Chapter.html#wp1055276

Hope to help

Giuseppe

Thanks for link , will go thorugh & test the same in LAb....

If this is in your WAN and you have devices capable of routing on each side it would be more supportable to use a dynamic routing protocol such as RIP, EIGRP or OSPF instead of static routes based on IP SLA.
