How many queues on a serial interface?

Hi,

is there a command that show me how many queues are active on an interface?

1, 2, 3, etc....

with sh queue serial 0/1/0 I can see the number of conversations but on wich queue are those flows????

Hi,

(software) queues you are refering to are only involved, IF there is an overload situation. If the interface is not overloaded, all packets are immediately sent into the hardware queue (tx-ring). Thus packets are bypassing the software queues in this case.

If an overload situation exists, the command "sh queue serial 0/1/0" will give you a momentarily picture of your queues. The queuenumber is denoted as "Conversation ".
