How the order of PATHS in bgp table is governed ? is it on first  come basis or  based on preference ??

 

for example in below output , path 3  will prefer path 2  but is listed as path 3 .... Any  views here ......

Hi

Just to make sure i answer your question, you're asking how that paths are ordered in your show ip bgp output?

If so, it's based on the order the router learned the routes.
The top one is the newest learned route and the bottom one is the oldest.
Then when you read this output, you can know which one was the newest to the oldest (from top to down).
