Hi , I'm Mithun and I'm new to networking . So my question is that.
how can we determine the Router for a specific purpose, say i need a wireless router for 50 users. which one should i choose? or say for example i am doing a project where 30 different locations needed to be connected, so which Router should be used? how is it determined ? what are the parameters?.
It will be so helpful for a newbee like me.

Two principles for selecting a router include whether the router supports the features you need and whether it supports the bandwidth you'll need.
Once you know those, selecting a router is fairly simple. What's not always simple is knowing all your feature requirements and/or bandwidth requirements.

say i need a wireless router for 50 users.
When you're choosing a router, the number of users-per-site is irrelevant. My first question for you would be "what is the proposed WAN bandwidth of the site now" and this will be closely followed by the question of "what is the proposed WAN bandwidth of the site in 2 years time".

Hi,
I agree with Leo e Joseph and don't forget interface type and amount. I suggest you to take a look to Cisco CPQRG (product guide: http://www.cisco.com/c/en/us/products/product-quick-reference-guide-qrg/index.html) and also the attached file that can help you in finding the routers who suit your needs.
Bye,
enrico.
