How to configure a call to an overseas number using extension number in Cisco ISR 2911

Hi,

I have been trying to find a way to configure the call settings in the Cisco ISR 2911 to call an (overseas) number using an extension number. It is not the "call-forwarding all (target number)". I was wondering if anyone can help me with this as I have little experience with Cisco IP phones and ISR integration.

Thanks in advance!

Hello,

is this a POTS dial peer ? You probably need a prefix and a voice translation rule. Post the config you currently have...

This config is from a colleague that left. I do not understand how to use this configuration.

Where should I place my overseas number?

Re: How to configure a call to an overseas number using extension number in Cisco ISR 2911

Hello,

which country are you in ? The below would allow international calls to any number. The 'T' is the wildcard character for any amount of digits. The '9' is what woud be used for users to get to an outside line. The '019' is what preceeds international calls (I think 019 is a prefix for saving on international calls).

dial-peer voice xxxx pots
corlist outgoing IDD
translation-profile outgoing pstn
destination-pattern 9019T
port 0/0/0:15
prefix 019

Hi Georg,

My work is based in Singapore. If I require to call to America, do I change the "destination-pattern 9019T" and "prefix 019" ? And can I assume that the extension number is in the header "dial-peer voice xxxx pots" xxxx will be 1234 for example
