How to connect a Catalyst 2960 switch to a Zyxel ADSL modem

Hi everybody. I need to connect these devices:

- Some computers.

- A Cisco Catalyst 2960 switch (computers must be connected to this switch)

- A ADSL router Zyxel P-660HN-T1A with WiFi (the switch must be connected to this router)

In my company we have at least 10 computers which were connected to Internet using a WiFi connection. But now we need these computers connected to a wired line and this router has just 4 Ethernet ports which are not enough obviously. So we bought this 24-port Cisco switch to connect all the computers and I don't know how to connect it to the ADSL router and what configurations to set up in order to have access to internet in every computer connected to the switch.

Please help me.

Thanks in advance.

Manuel.

Typically any Cisco switch will work straight out of the box, HOWEVER, it will not be optimized. You should be able to plug and of your local LAN (inside port) of your ADSL router into any port of the switch and it should work.

If you want to get into the switch and setup a configuration, I can assist you with a base configuration if you would like to contact me.
